My tour guide recommended we go here and as the only vegetarian in the group I was thrilled. Thankfully he ordered for us as the English spoken by staff by minimal at best. We had a salad with strips of fake ham and veges and some spring rolls which were delicious and a huge hot pot with noodles etc and it fed 6 people. The place was so busy but the food was quick and the bill was 30,000 per person. Best that price for dinner anywhere I dare you.

There is something very special about Buddhist vegetarian cooking and this restaurant was a great find. The monks were chanting next door as we ate our fried mushrooms and other delicacies in a pleasant garden pavilion. Very little English was spoken but the service and food spoke fore themselves.

we've eaten in lien hoa three times and everything was so nice - authentic vietnamese food to unbelievable cheap prices. taste the com dia and the fried jack fruit! the meals are mostly (or entirely?) vegan - at least our meals didn't contained eggs or milk. around 5 o'clock the restaurant is full of vietnamese people. we enjoyed the outdoor garden under the bamboo roof and already miss that place.

The food here is quite good, and pretty well priced. The highlight for us was probably the fried jackfruit, which was prepared in an entirely unexpected way (think fried pulled pork, but jackfruit instead of pork). The iced Saigon coffees were nice, too. We arrived at 8.30 and though the food came out very quickly, I wouldn't recommend arriving much later, as they start to clean and pack up around 9.
