What to explore at Lego land Discovery Centre?

LEGO Factory Tour: You take a life up to LEGO factory to start the journey. It is a smallish area showing how LEGO bricks are made. There are a few stations for the boys to try their engineering skills. The area was explored in double quick time and they are off to the next spot.

Kingdom Quest Laser Rides: There are a few rides located within the premises. The rides are considered tamer than the outdoor versions and suitable for toddlers. The first ride we took is Kingdom Quest Laser Ride.

Miniland: Made out of nearly 1.5 million bricks, the Miniland at LDC Tokyo is the place to be if you want to tour Tokyo in 10 minutes.

There are the iconic Shibuya Crossing, Tokyo Tower, Rainbow bridge , Sensoji and even a Sumo ring. Best of all, you get to see the glamor of Tokyo when night falls in Miniland.

LEGO Fire Academy and Construction Site: This is probably the place the boys go wild in. There are 2 areas to play. The construction site for children 90cm and below and the Fire Academy for children up to 140 cm

Merlin Apprentice Ride: If you are like the Wackies, who are mini adrenaline junkies, you might want to take flight on Merlin Apprentice ride. You need to pedal to get up high, so make sure the adult accompanying you have enough energy to last the ride. A minimum height of 90cm applies, 90-120cm must ride with adults.

LEGO 4D Cinema: After playing time, you can head down to LEGO 4D cinema to catch a favourite film.

We were looking for an indoor activity to do with the kiddos (3yo and 1yo) since we had mostly planned outdoor parks. Legoland Tokyo was small enough to be located in a mall--Decks Mall; but interesting enough to occupy about 3 hours of our vacation time. It was relatively easy to reach via train. We were able to do the 2 rides (they were very short; since it wasnt very crowded, we could have easily done the rides again, but we didn't). We saw the 4D Chima movie (it was in Japanese, but our 3yo didn't mind at all; the 1yo was busy playing with the 3D glasses they provided). It was fun for the kiddos to experience the elements (wind, rain, etc) while watching the movie. The 3yo enjoyed most the Racer's Build and Test, while the 1yo had a lot of fun in the Duplo Village. Both also enjoyed the Fire Academy. The adults enjoyed viewing the miniature Tokyo in Lego, I liked the Lego sumo wrestling match and Shibuya Crossing scenes the most. We also did the Ninjago Training camp, which was not really all that interesting but the 3yo seemed to enjoy it anyway. Over-all, I think this place would be most interesting for the 8 yo and under set. For discounted tickets, book online at least the day before. Side note: we decided to allocate just a few hours of our itinerary here after reading reviews online. But for our next visit to Tokyo, we'll probably spend more time in this area because there are a lot of other attractions that the kiddos may enjoy--like Joypolis & Madame Tussaud's in the same mall, as well as other attractions in the surrounding malls.
