Why Lanterns Vietnamese Restaurant is special ?

Lantern Vietnamese restaurant is an excellent local cuisine restaurant in Nha Trang. Lanterns was established in early 2008, born out of an idea by Robert, who after a few visits to some local orphanages and a lengthy stay at Huong Duong orphanage, felt a deep desire to help children access continuing education, so they can be the best they can. Lanterns’ is proud of its association with the local orphanages/charity schools & they are committed to helping those in need with many initiatives they undertake. A true sense of community is also felt amongst all of the staff & it is extended to help others less fortunate than us. Visiting and spending quality time with the children is just one small way of giving back to the local community.

My husband and I were in Nha Trang this past December, and we ended up having dinner in this restaurant 3 times (we were only there for a week, mind you!). The first time we read the reviews here, and were in the mood of a Hot Pot and oh man, that did not disappoint. The broth just kept getting better and better, and the waitresses there are so helpful, and were so friendly, telling us about the tradition of Hot Pots in Vietnam, how they are saved for special family occasions, telling us what was in the broth, asking us how we wanted the meat cooked (they would come all the time to prepare more meat and broth for us). Super friendly, very nice atmostphere. The second time we came back bc after a bad experience in another restaurant, this was the one Vietnamese Restaurant I felt "safe". Again, it didn't disappoint. The Seafood bruschetta, the street food dish with pork, and an egg, and veggies and what not was absolutely delicious. On our last evening, after having tried some other restaurants, we decided to come back here for our last Nha Trang meal. We tried the Seafood Hot Pot, and some other meat dishes, nothing disappointed, it just got better and better. I am getting hungry (and nostalgic!) for this restaurant now just writing this review :) If u are in Nha Trang, you must go there, it is absolutely worthut honestly, in Vietnam, gotta get on board with how things are, correct? Still, the place in general is clean, the place is pretty, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is fantastic! If u are in Nha Trang, you must go there, it is absolutely worth a visit.

A very friendly and clean restaurant, it may be full of Russians but that's not the restaurants fault! Excellent menu, I had the chill and lemon grass beef and the coconut chicken which was served in a coconut!

We had lunch and breakfast at the lanterns and enjoyed it both times. The place is nicely decorated and he atmosphere is good. In the evening the place is very crowded and a reservation is recommended. We also had a nice chat with the waitress phuc which made us feel a bit more as guests and not only customers.
