Why Laiya Beach is special ?
Laiya is one of Manila’s closest beach. Just hop a bust from any major terminals in the metro and within 3 to 4 hours, you will find yourself photo bombing the picture-perfect white strip of Batangas province. Laiya is also close the Batangas’ tastiest lomihan and gotohan so don’t forget to drop by on your visit.
Laiya attracts tourists, mostly locals families, yuppies, solo travelers mainly because of word of mouth. The white sands of Laiya mesmerize the visitors, pleasantly surprised that such a spot existed along Tayabas Bay, only 2 1/2 hours away from Manila.
There are probably 50+ resorts in Laiya, about 25 kms away from the highway in San Juan where the Town Hall sits in the corner. There, signages of the different resorts compete for attention.

What to explore at Laiya Beach?
You can try many beach activities like volleyball and building sand castles. Banana boat is also available for ₱1,500 per group of 10 for 15 minutes. You can also try boating which you can rent for ₱1,500 for three hours. Snorkeling gears are also available for rent if don’t have one.
If you are in need of a beach fix and do not want to fly or go by boat this is the best option. The beach here is clean and tranquil (unlike most of the other resorts in Batangas). The HOTELS OFFER the usual spa, restaurants and kiddie parks.
The combination of sand, bucket, spade and water never fails to amuse. If you are travelling with teenagers chose a resort with some activities, as they may need more to entertain them than sand castles. The freedom the beach offers is a great respite from the city as the kids were able to run along the deserted beach keeping within eyeshot.

Reviews
My wife and kids went there twice already two years in a row for our wedding anniversary. The place is easy to find about 2.5 hours from Manila. You have to book in advance. The rooms are clean and neat and the food included in the psckage was delicious. I wish they had some evening activities like a small band or a singer so we have something to watch at their tiny bar. Wifi was almost everywhere. Just a little bit more effort would be good.
Loved this place. There are better ones out there but not many, and none of the competitors can boast lower prices on accommodations and food. The staff; simply awesome. They go the extra mile for you and truly want to make sure you are happy. I had a bad experience in one of the rooms, and the way the staff treated it was so amazing, I almost did not want them to fix the problem because they acted so quickly and just hit all the right buttons to make me feel that they really cared about me as a customer. Sometimes, you need the bad, to truly see the good in a place. Utterly impressed with the staff. Just a tip, try to book it at asiatravel.com, you get a really good rate from that website. Going to the website only gives you the standard rates and not the discounted during off season.
Virgin Beach Resort in Laiya Batangas offers exclusivity like no other. Pricey, but so worth your money with privacy and very well maintained accomodations and the beach has pristine waters too.
