How to get to LaemHin seafood restaurant?

- LaemHin is situated at the east side of Phuket, the journey from Patong Beach to LiemHin Pier takes about 40 minutes., easily reached from the main airport road (Sapam Road). Look out for the signs “LaemHin Seafood” and “The Village Coconut Island” on your left. The village along the road is mostly Muslim, with plenty of fishing and shrimp farming going on. From there you can take the complimentary long-tail boat service to the floating restaurants.

- When driving south from Boat Lagoon Marina toward Phuket Town, on Thepkassatri Road, go past the Bypass Road intersection. The road climbs a hill past a Wat on the left. At the top of the hill a small road on your left through the local village takes you to the restaurant.

We were looking for a local Thai Seafood restaurant. Bingo! This is a big restaurant with around 300 covers, some of which were on the pontoon overlooking the water- fabulous.95% of diners were local Thais, always a good sign. The menu was translated in to English and there were many photos to assist in choosing- normally naff, but really helpful here. The range of fish and seafood was extraordinary. We feasted on crab, squid, clams, prawns and more prawns, rock lobster. The fish looked great too, but we could only eat so much. The waiter was so keen to ensure we enjoyed our meal and looked after us royally. We spent nearly two hours savouring the finest seafood possible and paid $50US for 4 people- amazing. We never go back to a restaurant- we had to and second time round was just as good. If you like Thai seafood and fish , this is the place you have to go to- the taxi drivers know where it is and it is not on the main drag, so don't try it yourself.

We travelled from Patong beach to have lunch and were simply delighted that we took the trouble. The location is at the pier and do not look for high end decor. It is more of a big shack on the pier. The food is brilliant. We selected our crabs and had them weighed. We ordered the crabs with pepper and garlic, a papaya salad and fresh clams with Thai Chilli paste with steamed rice (accompanied by chilled Singha beer). What a meal !!!. Thank god we had a taxi waiting to take us back. The service was prompt, polite and good. Highly recommended. Take the time to go there and enjoy the food. TIP - If you opt for seafood, always select it personally, have it weighed and ensure that you have been quoted the price in advance. This applies all over Phuket.

Since we stayed at a resort close by, we thought we would give it a try. We found it so good that we ate there 3 nights in a row. The seafood is fresh with a great variety to choose from. Each night we tried different dishes, with the same results, good seafood, well prepared, for a fair price. It has seating indoor or outside, we chose to sit out on the pier every night, as it adds to the atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place if your in Phuket.

Great and not very touristy seafood / thai food place with nice scenery! You can dine right at the pier, very cozy and romantic around sunset or dinner time.
