Tips for you
After some terribly tasteless food at the night market we sat down at 'La Cafe'. Decoration is nice, service a bit on the slow side. Iced coffee and especially the Yogurt with lime juice refreshing. But the best were the 'Banana flambĂŠ'.In case you're in town anyway, make a stop there - if you get a place.
Right across the street from Dinh Cau Night Market. Good coffee and drinks. Service was slow (maybe because of Tet, the staff was short and in Tet mood :)
But that was ok since it is a great place to hang around, and the food is awesome. Apparently these reviews need to be 100 characters!
We stayed next door to this cute cafe at the light house so we became regulars. This place is an interior decorators dream come true or for anyone that loves vintage shabby chic. Every little detail is there from the chalk board signage, to the lanterns. They have old books you can read as well as computers you can use. They also give you paper and pens to write in their guest book while you wait. They have great music like classic rock and a very laid back vibe. We had breakfast here a few times and the food is average but the atmosphere is what you really come here for. We came here for drink many times and they were always great. Prices are also very reasonable. The owner and his family are awesome. He speaks very good english and is very friendly. Most places in Vietnam are not concerned about the decor and are usually quite simple. This was the type of place you could hang out in all day and sip a vietnamese coffee : )
