Why L'Adresse de Tinay is special ?

With comfy chairs, modern chic décor, a laid-back atmosphere and a warm welcome, even the most seasoned connoisseurs are sure to be impressed.

Accomplished Chef Tinay has worked his way up in the food world, working in every kitchen job imaginable over 14 years in France, making him the imaginative and creative chef he is today.

Despite the wonderful setting, the incredible flavours and supreme elegance of Tinay’s dishes are the main attraction. The menu offers a range of graceful flavours and a refreshing take on traditional French dishes, such as their famous homemade Confit Duck Cassoulet.

The fabulous gastronomy experience started with goats cheese rolls and snails on bruschette. Fish and meat was cooked to perfection with a signature home-made sauce. Followed by a wonderfully rich vanilla crème brulee. And for chocolate-lovers, an unforgettable hot moelleux chocolate cake. The first class wine selection goes perfectly with dishes. Attentive and efficient, the service supervised by Delphine is flawless.

With a set lunch for 65,000 Kip or an a la carte dinner menu for around 200,000 Kip, L’Adresse de Tinay offers a fantastic dining experience in a casual environment and at a reasonable price.

We had an absolutely wonderful meal here while spending the weekend in Vientiane. We made a reservation in advance online, although it probably wasn’t necessary. Although, if you have a strong preference for sitting either inside or outside, the reservation will guarantee you get the table you want. The service throughout our meal was excellent and both the owner and chef stopped by our table a few times. My husband was deciding between the soup and the escargots for his appetizer and the chef recommended the escargots; he then brought a small sample of the soup anyways! The menu had numerous options and we had a hard time deciding – there was more classic French food, plus some items that might be considered more “fusion.”

If you need a change of Asian cuisine - this is the place to go. Situated in a quiet street close to the night market, this little restaurant offers fine French cuisine. The prices are above Laos average but we think it's absolutely worth. The service was attentive, English and French spoken, the atmosphere urban-style but warm, good acoustic (no need to yell at each other to get your words through) and more over the food was delicious. I had the 3-course evening menu for around 16 Euro and I was very happy with all the 3 dishes. Rather than huge portions you get a creative selection of fresh and high quality ingredients. We would return any time.
