Tips for you
takashimaya is a great place to try all manner of Japanese foods; and even if you speak minimal Japanese, the point and gesticulate method works a treat. As a vegetarian in Japan, it can be quite hard to find food that doesn't contain fish; so Takashimaya is a good option for days when you just want something easy (and there is plenty to satisfy the carnivorous members of your group too). The quality and choice is excellent, with everything from sushi, caviar, oysters, tempura and noodles to imported cheeses, a fresh juice and soup bar and amazing bakery goods. Don't forget to check out the clothes and accessories too!
