Why JeJu Jungang underground shopping center is special ?
The Jungang Underground Shopping center is found in Jungangro, downtown Jeju. It is a modern underground mall with more than 300 shops stretching from Jungangro, Seomunro and Dongmunro. They sell clothes, shoes, shopping accessories, cell phones, electronic gadgets and all that shoppers might look for in a leading department store. This sole underground arcade in the island is divided into three sections to categorize the items on sale: section 1 sells shoes, general apparel, embroidery, accessories and bags, among others; section 2 sells children’s clothing, jewelry, golf wear and cosmetics, among others; and section 3, women’s clothing, lingerie, men’s clothing, and accessories, among others.
It is also a cultural place because they also have a gallery and various performances, exhibitions, education programs and music (DJs).
What to explore at JeJu Jungang underground shopping center?
This is an underground shopping center which is just around the corner of Orange Tree Cafe & Hotel. This is just the normal shopping center which you would see in most of the subways thru out Seoul, however, the good thing about this underground shopping mall is that each of the exits leads to different streets which has more shops....eg. Uniqlo, ABC Mart, Daiso, and also various cafes.....and also to the Dongmun Market and also to the Black Pork Street
An underground labyrinth of boutiques, name-brand shops, skin-care stands, small restaurants, and ice cream stalls. Try to hit the sales as prices here are sometimes even more expensive than the above-ground shopping districts.

Tips for you
“A shopper's haven” The cruise ship docked in Jeju South Koren for a few hours. We didn’t plan anything, just walked around downtown. We saw a flight of stairs, looks like it leads to some metro station, so we went down to take a look. It is a huge underground shopping center. They sell clothing, accessories, shoes and cosmetics. This is a shopper’s haven. They also have free Wi-Fi that you can connect with family and friends. Although we don’t know their language, but the people are very friendly and helpful. I don’t mind to visit Jeju again. Happy Travelling!
Prices can get a little expensive but it is alright to haggle a little for something you really want though. The shop that sells albums has got better prices here than in Seoul though, no idea why.
