Tips for you

  • You should bring sunscreen. After spending 8 full hours on the lake, it’s easy to forget that you will be under the direct rays of the sun for most of that time.
    What to bring
  • It's better to carry your water. It’s a long day, and even though there will be opportunities to pick some up along the way, it’s best to be prepared so you can hydrate thoroughly. Dehydration can ruin your day.
    What to bring
  • There are many opportunities for buying both food and souvenirs during the day. Remember to bring enough cash as there aren’t any ATM machines on the lake, or anywhere in Burma for that matter.
    What to bring
  • You should bring jacket or sweater. Burma is near the equator, but Inle Lake lies at an altitude of 2900ft.(880m), so it is very chilly in the mornings and evenings. Make sure to layer your clothing though, as it does get pretty toasty by midday.
    What to wear
  • The long boat without roof, 5 seats, life jackets and umbrella provided, blankets also in cold season. If you hire a boat, solo or up to 5 person.
