Why Haroo is special ?

Hidden in a tiny side street just opposite the Underwater World, the Haroo Restaurant is a jewel worth to discover!

Witten on one of the main walls is the following quote: ‘The best & most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart…’

And these words seem to perfectly capture the essence of Haroo. Run by a wonderful Korean family, you will feel cared for as if you were a close relative, with the meals not only enticing your palate but truly nourishing your soul. The cozy patio is shielded by tropical plants. The colorful walls are adorned with motives of trees, flowers and animals, hand-painted by daughter Isabella. A mellow music blends with the soothing sound of a trickling water fountain, creating a lovely, relaxing atmosphere. One of the very few restaurants, Haroo opens for breakfast, so you can start the day with a strong aromatic coffee accompanied by a crispy toast, butter, jam, ham and fried eggs. When it comes to lunch and dinner, among the favorites are sirloin and rib eye steak, and of course the Korean specialties such as Tukbaegi Bulgogi - a sliced marinated beef cooked with soy sauce, or Bibimbab - an assortment of stir fried vegetables with beef and egg, served on rice with a Korean chilli sauce. And don’t forget to order the traditional Kimchi, a spicy pickled cabbage! Complete your dining experience with an ice cream or Russian, Irish, Jamaican or Kahlua Coffee. The latest is a delicious blend with coffee liquor, whipped cream and cocoa powder - a perfect finale to a great evening out.

The owner and his wife made us very welcome, and the service was just as we like, attentive but not overbearing. The food was really great, having never eaten at a Korean restaurant before, it was a new experience for us and we will certainly return next year. The price of the meal was very reasonable too, much cheaper than many other restaurants in "the strip".
