Why Ganh Hao is special ?

If you are amateur of fresh seafoods, Ganh Hao is the perfect place for you. You may be lucky to get a sea side table, don't forget to book in advance, it's so peaceful to eat with a nice view.

The food selection of asian dishes is very good, you will enjoy to eat oysters of different kind of fishes. We recommend also the seafood hot pot, the taste is great and not too spicy for foreigners.

You will appreciate also clams cooked with lemon grass, the seafood soup (divine taste), grilled white pomfret fish and stir fry spinach

You should try: cha gio hai san (seafood spring rolls); squid with chilis, pepper and lime; oyster, fish and the seafood steamboat (hot pot).

The manager is also incredibly helpful, from making your booking to helping you order and explaining the dishes to you

Tips for you

  • The waiters are busy so sometimes they don't come right to you when you called due to lots of people and large ambience. However, the service here is top notch and everyone really goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed.
  • It's very noisy during weekend so make your time 1 or 2 hours earlier or later of the peak and you will ẹnjoy it.
  • You may also want to try the Lan Rung Resort or Lam Duong (just opened, next to Thanh Phat which is the local's choice and a good 'authentic' option) - all good alternatives.
    Things nearby
  • Parking lot is available, staff will help you to park.
  • You should take a reservation before going there by calling: 064.355 09 09 in order to have good view and avoid waiting for so long to find an ideal seat . You should you book and ask for a table at the front so you can take advantage of the view
  • Location is a little out of way so you can't walk to the restaurant if you're staying either at front or back beach, you'll need to take a taxi (or scooter of course).

“The best seafood you can get” Ganh Hao Restaurant is located a short drive away from the ferry terminal at Vung Tao and because of its lower ground at the beach front, it is not very prominent from the higher road level. However, when you get out of the taxi which would drive you down the short entrance to the restaurant, you will notice the awesome transformation in the form of a very beautiful and shady beachfront restaurant covered with parasols and trees to provide that vital comfortable ambience for dining. Tables and chairs line the long seawall facing the sea on one side and there is also a building for those who prefer dining indoors. The setting of this seaside gem was impeccable and couldn’t be better. We had Steamed Ocean Crabs, Cockles, Fresh Oysters, Baked Cheese Oysters, King Finger Nail Clams, Mixed Seafood Curry and refreshing beers, among others and I can vouch for the super freshness of the seafood there. Imagine devouring seafood with the sea breeze brushing gently against your face and then washing it all down with chilled beers. I thought that’s how ultimate enjoyment should be! Service was very good and price reasonable. We left very satisfied and I vowed to visit them again one day soon. Why? Simply because as a seafood lover, that was one of the best seafood meals that I’ve ever had anywhere! Highly recommended. Don’t miss the experience!

Crowded and hectic, but once you're seated, service is good. Baby squid and baked oysters were delicious.
