Gado-Gado Boplo serves a superb version with cashew nuts instead of peanuts for the sauce. Their recipe adds more flavors and fragrance to the dish, which is high in protein and cholesterol-free.

Why Gado-Gado Boplo is special ?

Gado-gado, cooked mixed vegetable with peanut sauce, is a classic Indonesian dish and easily found everywhere. However, Gado-Gado Boplo serves a superb version with cashew nuts instead of peanuts for the sauce.

Gado-gado lontong serves rice cakes as a side. Beside gado-gado, menu items with the cashew nut sauce include ketoprak (with tofu and rice noodle) and karedok (with fresh raw vegetable). Worthy desserts are the home-made ice creams with local fruit flavors like avocado or jackfruits. Some branches have live music on weekends.

Must try dishes:

Gado gado: Gado gado has another name as lotek. It is an Indonesian salad of steamed vegetables and hard-boiled eggs, fried tofu, tempeh, and lontong (rice wrapped in a banana leaf). This mixture is eaten with a sauce made from peanut

Soto ayam: Indonesian turmeric-based soup with chicken, vermicelli, ice berg lettuce, and boiled egg) - a belly-warming dish, the broth is light and refreshing.

Ketoprak Indonesian-style vermicelli salad with beansprout, fried tofu, potato, boiled egg, and crackers) - seems to use the same peanut sauce as the gado-gado, but somehow is richer in terms of flavour. There are more crackers as well.

Asinan sayur: Indonesian pickled vegetables salad, with watery peanut sauce and cracker) - really fresh and has acidic bites, the sauce is excellent and has perfect consistency.

Es cendol (green worm-like jelly, enjoyed with coconut milk, brown sugar, and ice) - one of my fav Indonesian desserts/drinks. Sweet and savoury at the same time, with wobbly little green worms.

Good taste of Indonesian Traditional Salad with spicy peanut sauce. Sometimes without additional steam rice or rice cake, it will make your stomach full enough with the variety of vegetables. Try Mie/Rujak Juhi, it's very good! Nice place to take foreigners to try Indonesian food but also match well with most Indonesian taste.
