Looking to get away from the fast pace of Hanoi and Saigon? This is it. Quiet bungalows, attentive staff, good food and several opportunities to get back into nature. A great place to unwind and relax. We were up for a challenge as the reviews we read online said no one would speak English but those reviews were outdated. The staff spoke better English than just about anyone we encountered on our month long journey.
We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our 21st anniversary celebrations and could not have chosen a better hotel! From checking in to checking out everything was absolutely perfect! We stayed in room 103 which was absolutely spotless with a separate walk-in raindrop shower and complimentary high end toiletries! The electric golf cart buggy carried us & our luggage and was available for to and fro journeys within the resort. Our room had a wonderful flat-screen TV with English channels, minibar, safety deposit, shower robes etc and been pre-prepared with Rose petals and an anniversary card! These little touches show how thoughtful the staff are. In particular we need to thank Ms Nguyen Thi Son for all her kindness and assistance :-) Thank you Son We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed delicious food with good service. The prices (compared to other hotels) was more expensive but when compared to restaurants here in the UK it was still cheap. We enjoyed cocktails a plenty during the "2for1" happy hour and can recommend the Mai Tais! We would recommend you make a reservation for a window table if you wish to dine. Fortunately for us Ms Nguyen Thi Son took care of this. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Emeralda and hope to return when we next visit. As they say in Vietnamese ...."HenGapLai!"
