Why Elephant Falls is special ?

Elephant Waterfall, which is still keeping the original’s features, is waiting to be discovered by the natural lovers. There are also some guest houses, tourist clubs, some poetic bridges looming in the deep eyesight. Every year, the Elephant Waterfall welcomes thousands of visitors in Vietnam travel. In addition to its attractiveness, Elephant waterfall used to be the holy revolutionary base of our country during the resistance against the French- American colonialists.

How to get to Elephant Falls?

Getting there is easy: you just follow Hoàng Văn Thụ street from the center of Dalat City westwards and when you reach the signpost for Tà Nung village, turn left. After a few kilometers you see the sign of Elephant Falls to the right. It’s right before a bridge.

The best way to go to Elephant Falls is by motorbike, but there is a bus connection from Dalat City to Nam Ban village. The journey takes roughly 45 minutes.

Most waterfalls I've been to in Asia and Latin America have been small trickles. They've all been lovely, but none have been loud and gigantic. Finally, with Elephant Falls, I have seen the sheer power. This gigantic waterfall is a bit of a trek through some potentially dangerous stairs and rock paths. Doubly so because of the slick wet surfaces. Be sure to wear appropriate shoes or sandals that have a lot of tread/grip. Also be aware that there is an ethnic minority group (can't remember the name) with traditional weaving tools that you will most likely have to "confront" before you leave. Their work is, though, quite amazing, and they aren't as aggressive as salespeople in, say, Cambodia tourist desinations.
