Tips for you
This bridge has a very romantic and beautiful story so most of the chinese have special feeling about this bridge. Try to go there avoid public holiday, or you only see the huge amount of people there which make you only uncomfortable, and you can't enjoy the nice view through the bridge. If you lucky go there snowing day, you will see one of the most beautiful view in China. Enjoy and have a walk there, you will love it.
Duan Bridge (or Broken bridge) is a very nice bridge at the beginning of the Bai causeway. It has a lovely aesthetic arch and is a symbol of Hangzhou. It is much better enjoyed from a distance since you can't fully appreciate it from up close and the throngs of Chinese tourists on it definitely detract from the experience. It is worth seeing, but not lingering on. If you do a loop along the causeway and back up Beishan Road, you can get great views of it with the city in the background.
