Why Crab Statue is special ?
The Crab Statue is one of 83 Statues. It can be found randomly in underground caverns, and may be harvested with a pickaxe. When activated, it spawns a crab. The statue will not spawn a crab if there are 10 or more crabs anywhere in the world, 6 or more crabs within 800 pixels, or 3 or more crabs within 300 pixels.
The Crab Statue is the icon of Kep, Cambodia. It is located near the National Park. The crab looks magnificent in the wonderful Kep sunset surrounded by the lovely waters.
It is possible to trap the crab in a box, and have it jump up and down constantly on a pressure plate. This can be used to make an engine known as a crab engine, which can then be used to power statues or devices faster than a regular timer. A similar engine can be made with bird statues.
How to get to Crab Statue?
Despite its protected status, is in a sad state. Occupying the interior of Kep headland, it has no guest facilities. Access is via an 8km road open to 4WD vehicles. Kep Lodge may be able to arrange a half-day hike through the park as well as snorkeling excursions, fishing trips and seaborne visits to coastal mangrove groves.
From National Park, you hire a boat around the statue.

Tips for you
What can I say. It's a massive plastic crab on its own plinth a few yards out to sea. You really can't miss it. And it has a message= Kep Kep Tidy, which I think should be Keep Kep Tidy! Well it is working as Kep has to be the cleanest and tidiest place here in the Kingdom. Some of my friends would say it is totally naff and would not look out of place in some UK seaside resorts, I always have a giggle each time I pass it, and it is always used as a backdrop for some tourist's photo's. Very colourful.
