My children love horses. While researching for our vacation in Penang Island, we chanced upon local blogs mentioning this hidden gem along the west coast of Penang. The drive was long but scenic as we took the route from Batu Ferringhi & down the west coast of Penang. Along the way, we noticed yellow sign board directing us to the stable. At the last lap of the journey, it was pretty challenging as we drove on uneven narrow path through open field. There is an entrance fee chargeable of RM5 (adult) & RM3 (child). We purchased a bucket of hay (RM5) & proceeded to feed the ponies, deers (only 2 of them), donkeys & horses. The stable was well kept and the animals look healthy & tame. We even saw one pony dozing off on the pathway - so cute!!!There are pony rides (RM17/child & RM20/adult) & horse carriages. The pony ride wasn't very long but it satisfies our kids' yearning. We had ice cream while our kids run freely to pat the animals & feed them with more hay.It was a very relaxing afternoon. A good place for all pony lovers!!!

It's a humble stable run by a very nice couple Wan and Doris. We went on a Tuesday to avoid the weekend crowd. The horse and donkey petting was a lot of fun young and old, we had a chat with the owner couple Wan and Doris before we embarked on a 2-1/2 hour ride led by a trained person and followed by an assistant with water supply. Along the way photos were taken by the accompanying staff and eventually posted onto their Facebook page for all to share and enjoy. This beats the horseback riding on the beach (for example Batu Ferringhi) which I find too commercialised and very amateur.I would highly recommend this to those tourists who have their own vehicles, the venue is currently mostly patronized by locals who have cars.
