Why Com Nieu Sai Gon is special ?
Cơm Niêu Sài Gòn is a restaurant run by the impressive Madame Ngoc. It is the perfect eatery for those squeamish about street food or in dire need of AC and pretty surroundings. This is a place where Anthony Bourdain (in The Guardian) proclaimed Cơm Niêu Sài Gòn as “the one place visitors shouldn’t miss”. They specialize in clay-pot-baked rice which, after shattering the crockery, they spin, sizzling hot, through the air over the heads of the customers then dress with sauce and scallions.
Must try dishes:
Clay Pot Rice
Sweet and spicy fermented shrimp
Caramelized claypot anchovies
How to get to Com Nieu Sai Gon?

Tips for you
Food was easy to order by pointing at menu item, waiters not engaging but efficient and attentive. Kids loved and going again tonight. 16.07.2015 cost under 900K dong for family of 4 who all left entirely full and enjoyed. No alcoholic drinks ordered in that cost. Clay pot rice dish must be ordered and very entertaining to watch them smash open. Clean restaurant and after dining assisted with crossing road and getting a taxi too! A+++
Great place to bring along oversea visitor, the flying burn rice after cracking the claypot will be the reason why most of people find it interesting. Of course, the dishes are magnificent too.
