Why Champa Restaurant is special ?

Tips for you
My husband and I stayed at the Coco Beach resort as part of our honeymoon and ate at the onsite Champa restaurant for 2 nights of our stay. As it's the beginning of the tourist season, there were not many people in but this did not take anything away from the atmosphere and the view overlooking the pool. The flavours and food are amazing throughout the 3 courses and you can really tell there is a French influence. We both had the 'special of the day' 3 course menu on both nights (different courses both nights too) which includes a glass of wine. The highlight was the Tuna carpaccio with pistou which worked so well together to bring out the flavours and exceed our expectations from reading the menu. The lamb and pork we had over the 2 days were cooked perfectly. Desserts are not a strong point in Vietnam, so we were very happy to taste some exceptional dishes, especially the warm apple pastry. Our waitress was lovely and the service was good too. The only reason we did not go on the 3rd night is because it is closed on a Monday so we had no choice!
Our family recently visited Champa restaurant for dinner and I must say that we had a completely different experience than the last poster. In fact, I have to wonder if it was meant for an entirely different restaurant.?? We had a beautiful experience - from start to finish! I had grilled vegetables as a starter, beef rossini (beef fillet with foix gras) for my main course, a lovely cabernet sauvignon, and chocolate fondant (nothing short of a chocolate dream) for dessert. Not only was my meal magnificent, the service and the ambience were also quite nice. The staff was friendly, courteous, attentive and timely. Nothing was missing from the entire experience. It is not easy to please everyone, but all eight of us walked away very happy. We will be coming back to Vietnam for the TET holiday and I am already looking forward to returning to Champa.
