There are several restaurants on Pub Street in Siem Reap offering this type of dining. The idea is that you get your own barbecueing-device on the table and they give you meats to barbecue + vegetables and noodles to cook in the browth that boils beneath the grilling-surface. My husband and I thought this would be a fun experience so we chose Cambodian BBQ, mostly because it was in our Lonely Planet guide. The food was very good. We got a mixed menu of beef, snake, crocodile, squid and chicken. It was very tasty. A good meal, no doubt about that. There service, however, was dreadful. First we stood by the entrance for more than 5 minutes before anyone reckognised our presence. Once we were seated it was still quite slow, and the waiting staff seemed generally annoyed. The food arrived and we asked to be explained how it worked. The waiter unwillingly put some beef on the grill and left, no words. The prices at this restaurant were also significantly higher than the others nearby.

We went here after being at the restaurant across the street...don't remember the name....the night before. This place was more expensive and did not give very large amounts of meat...for example we ordered a mixed meat platter (shrimp, chicken, beef, snake, crocodile) and only got 4 shrimp included in this. It is more expensive and the service is not as good as the other one. I would recommend the other one (inside Temple Club building) if you want better food and service.

Great fun cooking your own food at your table. Coals are covered by metal cone-choose your meat and away you go, cook your own meal at your table. Great fun. Unlimited vegetables, rice & noodles supplied as requested. Stock also topped up. wine price reasonable at US$17 for a bottle of Australian Sauvignon. complete meal for 2, including the wine came to US$31 - great value and great fun.Staff very attentive and made sure everything was explained.
