It's such an amazing island life, my room was front the beach i used to wake up at 5:30 AM go for swimming at crystal water amazing white sand beach, giant slide is a fun experience for adult and kids, another fancy swimming pool front the beach is good for swimming daytime, then at night is good for lovers with dum lights, the bar area is constructed with giant bamboo tropical design, then i cant forget the wonderful fire dance time at Friday nights.Food us good, grilling places are free, you can bring and cook your own food, staff and management are friendly and helpful, snorkeling at the front beach is another experience lot of corals and colorful fish you can see.Pirates boat is there for a trip around Samal island, jet ski, kayak, banana boat, massage room are available. And so many activities and occasions are coming day after day.I spent there about 25days almost full June 2014I consider it my home at Davao. When i'll visit Davao again, i'll certainly go there again.

My wife had visited this place on numerous occasions so we brought her family there for a day of fun. What we found was a run down dump. My wife could not believe how much it had changed in 4 years since her last visit. Garbage laying everywhere. The workers claimed it was due to a party the night before....if that was the case then what are the old piles against the fence? They were not from the night before. On the steps down to the beach there was a old tampon. Everything is falling apart and dirty, One slide was out of commission. Another had so little water in it people had to walk part way down. My brother in law got fiberglass slivers in his knee. Very slow service for drinks and food. After some investigation we found out that allegedly the owners were divorced and the remaining spouse let it go to crap. That is the rumor we heard from more than one person. Oh and the loud distorted PA system that they blared all kinds of annoying crap. The water in the kids slide looked milky, dirty and disgusting. I'm sure someone would catch Giardia by swimming in it. A few days later we went to Paradise next door. Completely different experience. Excellent !!!! Check out my review of that place it is awesome. No slides tho if your into that.

I was excited for our trip to Davao and was surprised that BlueJaz only looked nice on photos. The beach was okay but not something I expected considering that I heard good reviews about Samal - probably I had booked the wrong place. The food and drink options are limited - and they are quite steep considering the servings. The rooms though are really nice and you get your own veranda - although some areas are a bit dusty.
