Played both the Lakes Course and the Canyon Course. Both have stunning scenery. The Lakes course has a lower slope rating and my scores were better on the Lakes course. The Canyon Course is more challenging and some of the holes are very tricky (e.g. hole 13 on which Tiger drove the green with a 3 iron from 390 yards over the Canyon). Condition of courses were very good. Bunkers were being re-filled after the rain on the Lakes course and some parts of the Canyon Course were a bit muddy around the sprinklers. Caddy on first day was brilliant. Good English and every read of the green was spot on. Had my best putting game ever. Caddy on second day was experienced but English wasn't as good and didn't seem as enthusiastic. Golf house was a bit older and felt a bit empty, though staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, the course felt a bit deserted. First day there was only two other groups on the course and second day I was the only person on the course in the afternoon. Overall, a stunning course, which is definitely worth playing just for the lovely design and great natural beauty. I preferred the Lakes Course due to the fact that I'm a higher handicapper and the caddy was better.
