Tips for you
“My Favorite Vung Tau Restaurant” I have lived in Vung Tau for 1 year now and The Watering Hole is (and has been) my favorite restaurant. The restaurant is casual and open-air. The food is excellent and they serve both Vietnamese and Western. My favorite meals are Seabass Florentine, Chicken Cordon Bleu and Chicken Parmagiana. This is the one place that I know I can have a good salad with my dinner. And, as a non-beer drinker I love the fact that I can order a glass of Chilean Sauvignon Blanc and actually get a full glass. So, from my view the food and liquor is great - at a reasonable and quite competitive price. The service is outstanding. I've always been greeted by name and I'm always "checked on" to ensure that my meal is satisfactory. And, those of you who live in Vietnam know that this is a rarity. Luyen (the owner) is a tremendous source of help to expats. I've gone to her with all kinds of questions over the past year - Whats the best pharmacy? Where do I buy an electric bicycle? How do I get my Visa extended when I accidentally let it lapse? And - not only did she answer my questions, she often put me on the back of her motorbike and took me to get the job done. When I'm feeling really lazy, I simply call and place an order for delivery (free). Food is delivered quickly and "packaged" well so that it remains hot. So - food is excellent and customer service is even better than excellent!
Friendly English speaking people, Vietnamese and Western cuisine. Motorbike and car hire.
