Why Batcat Toy Museum is special ?
Batcat Toy Museum is inspired by one of the world's finest, and Asia’s largest, Batman and other famous superhero collections. This collection of superhero (from comics, cartoons, TV shows and movies) memorabilia is also the first of its kind in Asia.
Be amazed by the sheer variety of spectacular toys and collectibles from childhood favourites such as Batman, Superman, Spiderman, and movies such as Star Wars, Aliens, the Pixar animated films and much much more.
Return to a time when you were young and loved watching your favourite superheroes in their cartoon splendour; the Gotham City Museum houses the largest private collection of Batman memorabilia ever put on display. They have assembled a collection of more than 50 000 pieces, giving you a chance to view some extremely rare items. We’ve got something for everyone, something for the entire family, and hopefully, a trip through the museum will bring back some great childhood memories.
What to explore at Batcat Toy Museum?
A maze of dark and cavernous display rooms feel a bit like the Batcave itself — if Batman were to invite all his super friends over for a party. Visitors venture into the “cave” through spaceship-style sliding doors that open with a swoosh.
About half of the museum is dedicated to the owner’s favourite hero: the perpetually popular alter-ego of a certain billionaire named Bruce. Displays are lined with literally thousands of Batman figures from the endearingly cheesy 1960s TV series, the SuperFriends of the ’70s, the shadowy ’89 big screen revival and straight up to the Dark Knight of recent fame.
A separate room is dedicated to countless other superheroes, including Superman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman, the Incredible Hulk, Green Lantern, Captain America, Wolverine, Ironman and many, many more.
This is also where you’ll find some of the greatest characters of 20th century sci-fi. GIJoe, Alien, Godzilla, Transformers, Predator, RoboCop and a whole battalion of Star Wars action figures and vehicles battle it out for your attention.
Then there are the classic children’s favourites like Toy Story, The Simpsons, Looney Toons, Shrek, Super Mario, Doraemon, and even a rare Tickle Me Elmo.
Just when you think you’ve reached the showroom’s end, another stuffed display case seems to materialise out of thin air (blame it on Professor X).

Tips for you
It's a little out of the way and tricky to get to if you're a tourist and staying more centrally, but it's worth the trip. This is an amazing collection of toys and collectibles.
We had a lot of fun in this museum. There is no explanation anywhere, just toys but it's awesome to see toys with which we used to play 10-20 years ago and to see all the heroes we like. It's called batcat because the last part of the museum is dedicated to Batman. There are lifesize heroes sculptures with which you can take great pictures. Disney, Simpson, star wars, minions, avengers, the league, Batman, superman... They are all there. The entrance is too expensive for foreigners for the size of the museum but you can get the Thai fee if you have your work permit with you and it is part of the Bangkok museum pass which is cheaper than the entrance itself and that gives you access to more than 30 museums. So take the pass if you live here ;-) Too bad there was no postcards in the souvenirs shop. If you come from the center the fastest way to reach is the boat, you can stop at Bangkapi mall and then walk along the river and cross the bridge !
