We went here during the Golden week, which was really a mistake. The place was so crowded, that people where stepping over each other to get to the viewing spots. There are some places with narrow steps, so it was really hard to get to the rocks with all these people pushing around you. The pagoda itself is beautiful, you can read a bit about it´s history in english on a sign. However you cannot enter it. I recommend to come here, if you have enough time in Hangzhou, it is definitely not a must see thing. However the view form the rocks nearby is really amazing.

The Baochu Pagoda, besides West Lake and the Pagoda of Six Harmonies is the most noticeable attraction in Hangzhou. It appears beautiful from afar and is even nicer the closer you get to it. After the trek, the views are beautiful and tranquil. It was an oasis as the crowds are definitely fewer there than practically anywhere else in Hangzhou.
