Why Banh Mi - Mr.Ty's Bread is special ?
The bread most commonly found in Vietnam is a single serving baguette, therefore the term bánh mì is synonymous with this type of bread. The bánh mì is usually more airy than its Western version, with a thinner crust.
Da Nang has become an ideal destination growing in popularity recently. Beside its cleanness, greenness and beauty, local specialty is another important factor that contributes to the development in tourism of Da Nang. Bánh Mì is considered one of Da Nang’s specialties.
What to explore at Banh Mi - Mr.Ty's Bread?
Being the oldest bakery in Da Nang, Banh Mi Ong Ty which is at 272 Hung Vuong street (near The Con Market) impresses buyers by the simplicity and good quality.
The essence of Banh Mi Ong Ty is the focus on the layer of “chả bò” – beef patties and “chả heo” – pork patties. Unlike “chả” in other places, “chả” here is in a rectangular shape and is made from the freshest meats and marinated by Mr.Ty. Instead of using preservatives or borax, he always places “Cha” in the refrigerator to keep them in good condition .
“Chả” which is the main ingredient of Banh My Ong Ty is not smooth. On the other hand, it is very lumpy and has many pitting spots on the surface. Thanks to this unique speciality, Banh My Ong Ty have fascinated Danang people and tourists for nearly 40 years.
