Why Banah Cliff is special ?
The Banah Cliffs of Nusa Penida rise mightily out of the whirling ocean and are perhaps the most dramatic coastal cliffs in Bali. Hundreds of metres high and draped in lush green vegetation, they are an astonishing sight viewed by boat. When you’re standing at the top they are even more imposing with no barrier between you and the abyssal drop below.
Have you ever seen land that is “broken” and has now turned into a beach? Nusa Penida has this phenomenonknown as Pasih Uwug. According to folklore Pasih Uwug was once a village doomed to crumble into the sea. Here also lies a natural bridge made of rock that you can cross if you dare!

What to explore at Banah Cliff?
Not far from Pasih Uwug you can find a natural saltwater infinity pool formed where the sea meets the land (known as Angel billabong). Once you see the crystal clear water below, you will feel the desire to climb down for a swim.
Crystal bay is not only impressive with its coral beach and scores of tropical fishes, but is also stunningly beautiful. Enjoy sitting back and relaxing on the beach. If you have a lot of time to spend in Nusa Penida, the sunset in Crystal bay rates as a “must see.”
