Why Bali Animal Welfare Association is special ?

Bali Animal Welfare Association (BAWA) is a not-for-profit charity based in Bali, Indonesia. We work to improve the lives of all animals living in Bali. We directly relieve the suffering of animals by providing emergency ambulance response, veterinary care at our clinic and our adoption programs. Our education, humane population control and lobbying/advocacy work is key to creating a future where animals are taken care of and free from suffering. As our name suggests we respond to any animal in distress – from snakes to dolphins. However, we focus our work on the greatest area of need – The Bali Dog.
