Why Bac Ha Market 3D4N is special ?
It is the largest and most colourful market in the area and attracts throngs of villagers from the surrounding hill tribes. Some walk several hours for the weekly opportunity to trade and barter food, animals, clothes and household goods. 80km from Sapa, Bac Ha Market is not only the place for buying and selling, but also a place for cultural and sentiment exchanging. On the market days, right from the early morning, all paths and mountain roads are full of people and horses pouring to the market. People usually sit in groups around a soup pan (“thang co”) eating and chatting.
Many different ethnic groups such as Flower H’mong, Phu La, Black Dao, Tay and Nung minorities gather to buy and sell local products that cannot be found elsewhere. The market is very crowded, local products for sale or barter are carried on horseback
Bac Ha is where you'll want to stock up on water buffalo, pigs and horses.

What to explore at Bac Ha Market 3D4N?
Night 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai by night train
19:30: Pick you up in the hotel then drive to Hanoi station for a night train to Sapa
Day 1: Lao Cai – Sapa, trek to Ta Van village (B,L,D)
The train arrives in Lao Cai at 6.30 a.m.
We drive up to Sapa about 50 minutes on Car / Van
Have a shower at hotel and breakfast at local restaurant
Trekking to villages of Hmong and Dzay people
Meet the locals working on the mountainsides or the rice terraces
Have picnic lunch on trekking route
Trekking to Ta Van village of Dzay people
Have dinner with local and stay at their traditional wooden house (homestay) at Ta Van village
Day 2: More trek and get back to Sapa (B)
Get up early in the morning to enjoy the daily life of the ethnic minorities in the village
Take the road to Giang Ta Chai village of the Red Dzao minority via the paths between terraces and through bamboo forests.
Visit silver waterfall and suspension Rattan Bridge, visit the people in the village
Cross MuongHoa River up to the mountain to visit the last village of the trek – Supan village of the H’mong.
Get back to Sapa by Car / Van.
On the way back, enjoy visiting the ancient stone circle where stones are decorated with ancient carvings.

Day 3: Sapa to Bac Ha market and Lao Cai station (B, L)
Get up early for breakfast, check out of the hotel, and then drive to Bac Ha market (106 km).

The market ends at about 12:30
Have lunch at one of the market stalls inside the market for more of a traditional taste
In the afternoon, walking around villages of Flower H’mong and tasking corn wine.
Transfer to Lao Cai town

After 8,5 hours, you arrive in Hanoi station at 5.30 AM
