Tips for you
The place is a bit small for a zoo but the size is perfect if you're going with smaller kids. They wont get tired and cranky before all the animals are visited. The zoo is mostly indoors so neither the rain nor the blazing sun will hamper the visit. The downside is that there are no big animals like elephants and giraffes although they make up for it with the farm animal feeding station. For a price, you can purchase feeds for the rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, sheep, pony, and donkey. Bottle feeding the lamb is a must try. I think i enjoyed it more than my son. ;) Ark Avilon Zoo is located along c5 -- which is like 15mins from our place. There are refreshments on the second floor and benches where you can sit while the kids play. Very convenient. At first i was worried that the smell would trigger my son's allergies since it's an indoor zoo. But the place is very clean -- no mosquitoes -- and only the occasional "animal smell" which is perfectly understandable (we ARE in a zoo after all). The animals look well taken care of so i was able to enjoy the visit without feeling sorry for them at the back of my mind. If you will be going on the weekends, you can drop by in the morning when it's not too crowded. This is a great place to visit in the city and we will definitely be back soon. :)
There are fun facts to learn about animals, and fun to interact with them. You can feed the animals, but for a fee.
