Why Aqua Planet Jeju is special ?
Aqua Planet Jeju is a new theme park located near Seongsan-eup Jeju Island. The aquarium is the largest in all of Asia and has over taken the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium in Japan. There are a wide variety of animals from all over the world and puts them on display for everyone to see. There are fish from Korea, South America, North America, Asia and other tropical fish. The aquarium is also home to a variety of large mammals such as seals, dolphins, and walrus some of which perform in the auditorium for Aqua Planet’s guests. The penguin tank is a favorite of many as people can enter into a special viewing area and become part of the tank. This provides for a great photo opportunity.
What to explore at Aqua Planet Jeju?
Aqua Planet Jeju has a large cafeteria which caters to all kinds of tastes. The main tank is 23 meters wide and 8.5 meters tall. It also holds 5,000 tonnes of seawater. The whale sharks are no longer held in the aquarium. There are over 48,000 animals in the Aquarium and over 500 different kinds of species.
It is so funny to see the penguins line up to eat food and jump up the stairs. The otters are also interesting when you see them playing through the tunnels and on the swinging bed. The 'stars' of the aquarium can be seen at the theatre which is attractive and interesting
It's a good place if you just want to relax with your family, your friends, or a date

Tips for you
“Natural Stop after Seeing Seongsan Sunrise Peak” I have seen all the a lot of Aquariums in Asia and America. Comparatively this is not big as that with big shows, but it makes use of its space and is a natural stop over from Seongsan sunrise peak. 10 minutes away. There are amphibians like exotic frogs, iguana and Lizzard from all over the world, Penguins and Pelikans, Walrus, seals and sealion. You can also sea them during feeding time. There is also a big aquarium with fishes, sharps and stingrays. What I liked most were the small aquariums with exotic fish variety. It did not have whale shark which require big space and are usually in the wild. This I have seen in the open sea while swimming near it. Overall, the place is cool, although smaller by comparison, but spacious inside. It is recommended because it is part of the it is on the way to or from Seongsan and educational especially for children.
Big attraction for local tourists. Huge aquarium with super cute seals and a water show
