Why 328 Katong Laksa is special ?

This bowl of deceptively simple-looking noodle hides its true complexity - within the gravy and the freshness of the ingredients. 328 Katong Laksa cleverly sets themselves apart from other renowned stalls with their mastery of every component of this dish. Their reputation isn't hype at all, and the flavourful and scrumptious laksa truly lives up to its reputation.http://ieatandeat.com/

Tips for you

  • you don't really need to read the menu, after ordering the food, another guy will come to you to take your order for drinks
    Service
  • once they bring you the foods/drinks, you'll have to pay to that guy immediately
    Service
  • The staff members are not really friendly and helpful
    Service
  • you have to wait for 10 minutes to get your laksa
    Service
  • The laksa sizes come in S/M/L which are $4.50, $5.50 and $6.50. If you're hungry we recommend going for a M or a L because a small isnt that much

    Experience
  • There is no need to eat with fork nor chopsticks because they cut the noodle into small pieces and it is very easy to eat with spoon

Very bad service attitude.

The combination of coconut and evaporated milk gives the laksa here a gentle sweetness and creaminess. The spice level is just right – hot enough for some kick, but not overly spicy.

Don't forget the otah.

Located away from downtown, on east side of town, this small restaurant serves great curry laksa. In fact, there are only two choices on the menu - large or small. When a restaurant has just one dish, and it focuses all its energy on it, the result is often very good. For those who have never had curry laksa, it's a coconut milk based curry noodle soup dish. Noodles are cut up into bite sizes, so all you need is a soup spoon. The flavors are complex, and slightly spicy.Probably the best curry laksa we've had. But don't expect great service, or atmosphere. The seating is semi-outdoor, with cheap tables and stools.

As we stayed for 3 weeks om the East Coast in Katong we had to try Laksa. Laksa is a hot spicy noodle soup in the Peranakan cuisine. It origins is Malasian/ Singaporean. The restaurant is simple and it advertises the visit of Chef Ramsay in 2013. Its menu consists of a small or large Laksa, rice and drinks. It is a very tasteful soup made of coconut, shrimp, vermicelli, curry, herbs, etc. We had lemon juice for drink which pairs well with the spicy soup. A must try when you're in Singapore.

328 Katong Laksa has very smooth broth, so I also take the soup to dry. sometimes one bowl not enought for me, as I have it regularly. although they have aircond seating, i prefer to sit outside for a better and more authentic atmosphere.

The laksa soup here is really tasty! Just the right amount of spices to give it a kick but not too strong to send you flying, perfect dosage! Tried the otah as well and was very pleased with the taste
